This exclusive trip to Pieniny doesn't include hiking but will give you a brief introduction to the beauty of the place and perhabs will encourage you to come back and discover Pieniny from higher spots. You will have a private guide for all day who will take you cycling along the marvelous Dunajec river which you will be rafting or kayaking or perhaps going on a SUP board down the same day. The cycling route goes through Polish/Slovakia border and the area has a very rich history which you will learn about from your guide especially during the visit in Czorsztyn castle from 13th century. If you like little bit of fun activity and you're interested in nature/historical facts you will not be dissapointed.

Trip schedule
Driving to Szczawnica
- 8:00 am Pick up from your accommodation in Zakopane and drive about 1hr to Szczwnica, town by Dunajec river.
Cycling
- 9:30:00 We rent bikes in Szczawnica and cycle along Dunajec river to rafting point.
Rafting
- 11:30 We get to starting point where we can leave bikes and you can enjoy rafting down the Dunajec river (2hours). You can choose between pontoon, kayak or SUP board.
Lunch time
- 13:30 After rafting you will have approximately 1,5 hours free time in town's square where you can try local mineral water that has curing features and you can have lunch in restaurant nearby.
Czorsztyn castle
- 15:00 We meet at the square, pick you up and drive to Czorsztyn castle.
- 15:30 Czorsztyn castle visit with a guide for about 40min
Back to Zakopane - 16:00 On our way back we drive pass a Czorsztyn open air museum. There are wooden buildings, willas and manor houses.Quick look and we drive back to Zakopane.
We are back around 5pm.

- Have some drinks and snacks for the trip.
- Always have extra clothes and rain coat in your bag.Good to have spare, dry clothes to change after rafting.
- Wear comfortable boots.
- For rafting take swimming boots if you have some. You can also be bare feet.
- The plan can change according to weather conditions.

The house is excellent! We really enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed the rafting trip and it was nice to be picked up and pass the queues for the rafting. The guide spoke only Polish but made an effort to explain things to us. Happy to have booked with BazaTatry! -
Hi Retha, Thank you very much for an excellent stay in Zakopane. We had the best stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. We had a fantastic time learning to Ski with Peter. He was very helpful getting us organised with ski gear and patient teaching us to ski. -
The view is amazing and the facilities are great to unwind at the end of an action packed active day, which Retha is also happy to organise for us. We would recommend a hike in the area, fat biking and a snowboard lesson organised through Retha. Next time we are in Zakopane we would definitely stay here again! -
