Would you like to stay in Tatras longer than just a few hours or one day? We can take you, your friends and your family for this amazing adventure for two days hiking in Slovak West Tatras

The tour includes two full hiking days in West Tatras and 1 night accomodation. Slovak West Tatras are much quieter and calmer than the rest of Tatras. It is extraordinary and absolutely beautiful and from the top there is a wide and breathtaking view of the surroundings. It is an amazing opportunity to get closer to nature, wildness, its calmness and majesty. The route goes through Jalovecka Valley to Zuberska Valley and back to Poland through Chocholowska Valley. The route is flexible and can be adjusted as intermediate or more advanced. Get the most of the summer and explore Tatra mountains with an experienced mountain gude.

SlovakhikefrontYou and your group will be picked up from your apartment in Zakopane at 7am and driven to the entrance of Jalovecka Valley where our adventure starts. The valley is one of the biggest in West Tatras. It's full lenght is 8,5 km. At the beginning it has the character of a narrow, deep gorge and after 3 km we start hiking up the hill through the forest until its highest level. Once we get out of the forest you will meet a wide open space surrounded by peaks like Banikov, Salatin, Siwy Wierch etc. There are three different trails we can choose. The exact way is discussed and prepared earlier by your guide but the plan can change during our trip if the weather or any personal conditions change.

For those who already have more experience in hiking and want to challenge themselves there is a route with chains that is more advanced than other trails. This one is much longer, and we will take yhis under consideration making a decision about the final route. .
We will reach Salatyn peak and Breastova peak and walk over to Zuberska Valley, another massive valley in Tatras. It's surface is 38 km². It is also one of the most interesting and diversified valleys in Tatras.

At the end of the day we will reach Primula hotel where we will stay for the night. You can order a hot dinner there and relax in their bar.

The next day we will walk over the ridge towards the Polish side, to Chochołowska Valley There are also more or less advanced options to get to the valley. Once we reach the bottom it is time for a break in Chochołowska hut for lunch. Next we will reach the end of the valley where we will be picked up and taken back to Zakopane.

Both days are prepared for 7-9 hours walking per day. It is approximately 20 km per day.

WARNING: You can meet wild animals including bears on the way. Remember it is their home and there is no need to panic or to provoke the animal to any action. Be respectful for the nature you will meet in Tatra mountains :)

Reviews from our clients

  • We had a fab time in Zakopane. BazaTatry really looked after us all week, giving us excellent ski lessons and taking us on half days out to the mountains and various ski resorts. We would highly recommend booking with them and look forward to returning soon!

  • The house is excellent! We really enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed the rafting trip and it was nice to be picked up and pass the queues for the rafting. The guide spoke only Polish but made an effort to explain things to us. Happy to have booked with BazaTatry!

  • Hi Retha, Thank you very much for an excellent stay in Zakopane. We had the best stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. We had a fantastic time learning to Ski with Peter. He was very helpful getting us organised with ski gear and patient teaching us to ski.

  • The view is amazing and the facilities are great to unwind at the end of an action packed active day, which Retha is also happy to organise for us. We would recommend a hike in the area, fat biking and a snowboard lesson organised through Retha. Next time we are in Zakopane we would definitely stay here again!
